to say the least, i have been the biggest slacker. i would like to preface the story by stating in the past two months my life has been about me and my new fancy, the windy city. every new day i set out into the world, this city continually takes my breath away. it's like the first time you realize you love that one pair of shoes, that one cupcake boutique, that one person. so needless to say, i have been venturing out and about and of course working in corporate america.
tonight i do make a pact to you, my reader. i promise to keep my blog on a weekly basis. i keep telling my new friends, "yeah, i blog." but then i catch myself and hear this little person on my shoulder speak to me (that was for you sherbear), "you keep boasting about this so-called blog. why are you not blogging? that is so not cool."
i have realized the countless memories you have not witnessed through my words, and the memorable moments i have not documented for 58 years from now when i am telling my grandchildren, "well, grandbaby, i still remember that time lala and i had a photoshoot with the mexican motorcycle mafia on rush street. those were the days." and i am sure my grandbaby will smirk and slyly comment, "duh grandma! you only remember because it is on your blog. if it were not for your infamous blog, you would have to buy your gingko biloba in bulk at costco." so, i definitely want to be that cool grandma that remembers everything; even if it has to be through the technology of today.
i hope you look forward to reading my blog. it is kind of a big deal. just like me.
