old ladies and ipods

when you think of ipods, you think of hip, trendy americans jamming out like on all of the advertisements. you don't think of 70 year old women dancing around with music playing from their ipods. this is all true and needs to stay that way. old ladies and ipods do not mix.

one of our admins, carrrol, who is probably cutting it close to 70 years old started this thing on wednesdays which is now tokened as dance wednesdays. at 3:00 p.m. on e.v.e.r.y. wednesday, everyone in the department, no matter where you are, gets up to dance for a song over the office intercom. if you put two and two together, you get dance wednesdays.

as most of y'all know, i am energetic to be apart of the team and basically love bringing out the inner-child in me. being the newbie in the department, i volunteered to co-chair dance wednesdays. mainly because the first dance wednesday was a disaster, due to carrrol's incompetency of how to play music clear and loud over the office intercom. so i stepped in and that is how i became co-chair.

back to last week, the third dance wednesday, carrrol had to manage without me and deal with the ipod on her own. now for a 70 year old women she does adapt well to change, but maybe not to remembering what to do with the ipod after dance wednesdays are danced and done.

that is where i come back to my theory as to why old ladies and ipods don't mix. carrrol said she put the ipod back, but when a group went to use the ipod for class this week, no ipod was found. yeah she may be able to work the ipod now, but that doesn't mean that she can remember what she did with the ipod.

my theory holds true. old ladies and ipods don't mix and should not be in the same context.

just for laughs, here is a picture of carrrol during her first dance wednesday aka the disaster and laugh of the department...
