the last weekend of july, my dearest friend rachie visited chicago for her very first time!! rachie and i knew of each other in high school through lealea. our friendship flourished when we became pledge sisters in college. rachie is that friend that i have always admired and loked to as a mentor. she has a wam-heart and enjoys life to the maxx!!
the one thing rachie did request was a not so touristy chi-town vacay. so that is what we did! we had apps and vino at my guy and my fav restaurant, topo gigio, hit a couple of must have chi-town spots (hancock, buckingam fountai, the bean, michigan ave bridge), byob sushi, danced our hearts out at social 25, enjoyed a yummy yumm brunch at elly's, walked the lincoln park arts & music festival, lounged on saysay and ri's rooftop pool, margaritas were drank and fireworks were watched in amazement. so did you read that little diddy in one breath?
