election day

today is a very historic day for america. the first woman vice president or the first african american president will be elected hopefully by tonight. so instead of rushing back into the city tonight, i ran some errands in the neighboring town of my company. i am 99% sure tonight i am enjoying a chicken salad sandwhich from this delictable local chain deli that could totally compete with cottage cafe, a cafe from my hometown.

on a more political note, i am really curious of the results and reprecautions in the city after tonight. since senator obama is holding his presidential "get together" with basically all of chicago gathering in the city's grant park, i can just imagine the craziness that will be uprooting a city that is so obamanized. no cars are aloud downtown, and the city has boarded windows on the mag mile.

to say the least, i am taking my time to venture back into the windy city. i am in no rush to get ambushed. right now, i am going to cast my vote for the delishy chicken salad sandwhich on toasted sourdough bread is plated before me.

i hope you took advantage of your american freedom to vote today. god bless america and superb chicken salad!
