today was the first day of many to come this winter. today, it snowed! baby snowflakes gently fell from the sky this afternoon. it was officially snow because when each snowflake floated to the ground, it actually stuck to the crisp brown autumn leaves.
no matter if the snow falls from the cloudy sky as baby snowflakes and not a blizzard of white, it still is the true first snow of this winter.
it will be my first winter, that i will be able to remember having snow for more than half a day, like in the south.
now, i just have to master the art of driving in the snow. say a little pray for me!

- hey y'all! it's me, "the girl" from girl and the windy city. as y'all know, my partner-in-crime, my guy, and i were engaged last summer and now are gearing up for the big day. we want to reflect our windy city life through this sister blog! so as it goes, some might say, "southern meets the city." we would like to say, "bring it on!" this change did us good. not just changes in scenary, but changes in attitude and changes in latitude. we took the leap, moved to chicago and fell in love. that is what we have done. stuffed our cars, drove north and making chicago our own.

You will do great in the snow....just be patient. Actually, I kind of like the idea of riding the bus. You could blog and keep us informed on city life and the bus system....could be interesting.
