this past friday, jtothej and i threw our joint "welcome home - danyell going away party." needless to say, danyell was not in attendance.. jtothej's parents, pegster and dickie, and her little bro, baby toes, came for a visit and helped out with tying up the loose ends in our apt.
baby toes assembled our tv stand, coffee table and dining room table and chairs. it looks like a totally new bachelorette pad! the walls are all freshly painted and new wooden blinds, compliments of dickie, were hanging in our bay windows. our apt is also furnished by donations from my little family. they kindly supplied us with a rustic leather couch, club chair and ottoman. so all of you friends and family reading right now, get your booties to the windy city and come visit!
friday could not have been any better! the weather was on its top game, clear starry skies and the perfect temp. guests were able to be on the roof top, inside the apt or hanging out on the back porch. i also adorned my new dining room table with a tablecloth and some pretty intense beer pong matches went down.
shout out to all of my windy city friends! thanks for coming to 2150 and breaking in the new apt. it would not have been the same without ya'll..

- hey y'all! it's me, "the girl" from girl and the windy city. as y'all know, my partner-in-crime, my guy, and i were engaged last summer and now are gearing up for the big day. we want to reflect our windy city life through this sister blog! so as it goes, some might say, "southern meets the city." we would like to say, "bring it on!" this change did us good. not just changes in scenary, but changes in attitude and changes in latitude. we took the leap, moved to chicago and fell in love. that is what we have done. stuffed our cars, drove north and making chicago our own.
