out of commission

for the past two days i have been totally out of commission. it all started last friday night, when i was struck with sever stomach pains. i tried to tough it out. over the weekend, i was on a roller coaster of feeling good then feeling absolutely, positively awful.



by monday, i felt almost par and attended my first TIP day (the day mcwork gives me a fat check for doing my job..thanks for the free money ronald!), but by the afternoon, i was back on the get-me-to-a-doctor-i-am-pretty-dang-sure-something-is-wrong wagon.



long story short, i was referred to northwestern's ER department. after seven hours of blood-drawing, barium-drinking, CT-scanning, pain med-giving, the results showed no visible signs of appendicitis, but did show that i was sick from an intestinal bacterial infection. tmi, but the truth!!



i should have just taken a sick day yesterday, but me being me, i would have worried my self even more sick if i did not feel caught up at mcwork. so i worked from home. now i am paying for it today!! so today, i actually took a sick day!! no work...surprise!! i have been able eat to small portions of the bland and boring diet my ER doctor recommended and have gotten enough sleep to make a lazy teenager feel rested.



but, i could not have done it all without my faithful family, my guy aka the love doctor and my sweet friends. the texts and calls have helped me through this medical mess. having my guy taking care of me in the here and now is just the icing on the get well soon cake.
