yesterday in the first time in almost two years, i was able to fill my car with gas for $2.99 a gallon. when i pulled into the costco gas station, i guessed to myself, "i bet it will be $3.14." to my surprise it was below $3.00! i gave out a loud "yahooo!" seriously, i did, and the man filling up his beater minivan answered back, "long time since we had these gas prices, huh?"
it may not be the $2.34 sherbear filled her car up with this past week in alabama, but it sure is the cheapest gas price i have seen since forever ago. no matter if the gas is cheap or expensive, i still have to fill my tank up to get to and from the windy city.

- hey y'all! it's me, "the girl" from girl and the windy city. as y'all know, my partner-in-crime, my guy, and i were engaged last summer and now are gearing up for the big day. we want to reflect our windy city life through this sister blog! so as it goes, some might say, "southern meets the city." we would like to say, "bring it on!" this change did us good. not just changes in scenary, but changes in attitude and changes in latitude. we took the leap, moved to chicago and fell in love. that is what we have done. stuffed our cars, drove north and making chicago our own.
