after helping a dedicated reader yesterday get her blog up and going for the world to read, i got a little inspired to take time out of my not-so-busy day to give my blog a little TLC. as you can tell, i have added a painting of the chicago skyline from the lake michigan point of view as my header and changed the color scheme. it gives my blog more life. lately, i have felt like the original blog was dark and drab. i hope this vibrant change will intrigue my readers to keep on reading.

- hey y'all! it's me, "the girl" from girl and the windy city. as y'all know, my partner-in-crime, my guy, and i were engaged last summer and now are gearing up for the big day. we want to reflect our windy city life through this sister blog! so as it goes, some might say, "southern meets the city." we would like to say, "bring it on!" this change did us good. not just changes in scenary, but changes in attitude and changes in latitude. we took the leap, moved to chicago and fell in love. that is what we have done. stuffed our cars, drove north and making chicago our own.
