today was another beautiful fall day. 60 degrees and sunny. after bo-bo, bella boo and i went for a stroll along the chicago riverwalk, i jumped into a warm shower and got all dolled up to go walk the magnificent mile.
heading north down michigan avenue, i stopped by H&M. i was curious to see what was on display for their fall collection. my eyes immediately connected with the most adorable beige peacoat. it was hanging amongst a mass of shabby black and grey coats. how could i not fall in love with such an appealing winter coat.
i removed my new find from the hanger. watching myself in the mirror, i buttoned every button and looped the matching belt. i stood in the mirror smiling ear to ear. this coat was a must. of course it will keep me warm during those soon to be bone-chilling days, but most importantly, it looked absolutely amazing on me. not to ring my bell or anything, but every girl knows when she finds that one article of clothing that is the perfect fit.
i am estatic about purchasing my first winter coat for my first true winter here in the windy city. there is nothing better than finding the coat that is the perfect fit.

- hey y'all! it's me, "the girl" from girl and the windy city. as y'all know, my partner-in-crime, my guy, and i were engaged last summer and now are gearing up for the big day. we want to reflect our windy city life through this sister blog! so as it goes, some might say, "southern meets the city." we would like to say, "bring it on!" this change did us good. not just changes in scenary, but changes in attitude and changes in latitude. we took the leap, moved to chicago and fell in love. that is what we have done. stuffed our cars, drove north and making chicago our own.
