impromptu bar crawl

saturday was definitely a day to go down in my chicago adventures.

i met up with mr.&mrs. at their alumni bar, gamekeepers, to watch the oklahoma state-texas game. i came fully prepared in my black and orange and a loud voice. the game was so intense! after yelling play by play for the duration of four quarters the cowboys, or pokes as osu fans like to chant, lost with seconds to go in the game.

but the loss did not let anyone get down in the dumps. so we headed off to another bar, kirkwoods, to watch more college football. (oh how you have to love chicago and its passion for anything and everything sports!)

as we began our three mile trek to kirkwoods, which i might like to add mrs. and i were in high heels, we decided to stop at river shannon, the first bar we came across, to enjoy a not-quite-victory shot. to everyone's surprise in our group, the bar was crowded with people and dogs! it was absolutely hilarious and mind-boggling! of course our group had to make the comment, "well, if checked my i.d., did you check the dogs' i.d.s? and how do you know they are twenty-one?" i am sure our comments were funny to us, but annoying to the regulars.

from that bar on, our group decided to make our journey an impromptu bar crawl. we ventured into bars with halloween decorations, rowdy fans, jukeboxes and my favorite, buckets of peanuts.

the day was quite an adventure. what made saturday one in a million was there was only one plan, to have fun!
