true life: i live in lincoln park

Lately, Lincoln Park, my hood, has had a couple of mishaps with bums and gansters. Boutique burgaries, pistol whipping eighty year old women and oh yeah breaking poor Roxy's passenger glass window. You know the usual in times of economic downturns...waa waa!

Who would have thunk?! When I walked out to Roxy in the down pour of the third straight day of rainstorms this morning, the passenger window was smashed out and glass was shattered on the gravel ground and Roxy's entire passenger side.

Out of all the worthwhile steals in my car, like Trixie the tomtom, my earbud for Minnie the blackberry, my bike pump and bike rack, even jewelery, the bum who vandalized my car stole my ipod (which is the second generation white brick that is not sold in stores anywhere) and to top it off, my snuggie!!

Thankfully, my car mechanic got Roxy all fixed up! Plus they even detailed my ENTIRE car, especially the passenger seat, which was a potential mildew threat from all the rain!

I have learned my lesson after one year and one burgurlary. No matter what is in your car, snuggies included, out of sight, out of mind...and out of hands!!

Sadly, Snuggie theft is a widely reported problem, leaving millions of victims a year with cold hands as they reach for the remote control.

being homeless can be depressing....so, a little warmth and some tunes...really. I can see it now your powder green snuggie parading down Halsted, kind of like the movie "Coming to America"...
