sayonaro summer

sad to say, but summer is slowly but surely coming to an end here in the windy city. i am trying to come to grips with this whole idea that winter is back for the long haul. well, the whole situation finally hit me when i was shopping yesterday for new suits for my new job. walking through one of my fav boutiques, actually the boutique i live above, and stumbled upon WINTER COATS! i immediately went to that place..

basically, i am in denial. whatev... to get me out of the rut of winter knocking on my door, mr.right and i are living it up this weekend!

step one: target trip! for starters, i got the idea that i wanted to become awesome at tennis. you know, improve my backhand..haha...so, we hit up target for tennis balls and a beginner's racket (that is what mr.right politely calls my cheapo racket).

step two: oz park tennis courts! we walked to oz park to take advantage of the free courts, but to my dismay mostly (mr.right kept his optimism, noting we could do it another day) the courts were full.

step three: lakefront jog! instead, mr.right and i took a jog on the lakefront. we also were able to be outside viewers to the croc's tours of the AVP (association of volleyball professionals)! totally cool!

the agenda tonight is a long awaited trip to theWit hotel's rooftop then going out with friends later tonight! even though fall and winter are on their way, i am still in summer mode and keeping that mentality until i am forced to pull out big bertha, my furry winter down coat...
