deal of the century

all day yesterday, i was in a tizzy over what jacket i will be wearing to my first corporate christmas, excuse me, let me be politically correct, holiday party on saturday. since the temperature is going to be in the low teens and possibly the single digits, i had to get my long black down jacket before christmas.

during my lunch break, i searched all through the nordstrom rack down the street. nothing. after work, i searched rei, forever 21 and macy's. nothing. i called sherbear in distress. of course, that sherbear always thinking told me "well, why don't you go checkout the costco?" immediately i dismayed her idea. "mother, that is ridiculous."

with sherbear mentioning costco, i remembered i did have to run in and buy some laundry detergent and my all-time favorite snack, stacy's pita chips. as i walked through the crowded warehouse, i noticed a light was shining down on, you guessed it, a black down jacket with a detachable hood for only $59!! i figured it was a sign, as i always do when crazy situations arise, but thought it was probably the kirkland generic brand. to my surprise, which almost put me into shock, it was michael kors, a brand name designer.

so that was that. i now own my very own and very stylish long down jacket. i have posted a picture and the specs on my jacket to prove my original sale price of $225, which i basically stole for $59, is truly the deal of the century. (note: it even surpasses my watermelon slice from the taste of chicago!)
