I survived my first full week in my new job! I was even able to handle the entire friday responsibilities and tasks all by myself with a little bit of questions answered by my co-workers.
After all of my anxiety and anticipation, everything went quite right. Now if I could just empty my email and return all of my voicemail and "lizzie" organize my desk, everything would be absolutely perf! Sheash, welcome to the real world..
On another happy note, my manager surprised me and granted me a vacation day to use for the rest of 2009.

- hey y'all! it's me, "the girl" from girl and the windy city. as y'all know, my partner-in-crime, my guy, and i were engaged last summer and now are gearing up for the big day. we want to reflect our windy city life through this sister blog! so as it goes, some might say, "southern meets the city." we would like to say, "bring it on!" this change did us good. not just changes in scenary, but changes in attitude and changes in latitude. we took the leap, moved to chicago and fell in love. that is what we have done. stuffed our cars, drove north and making chicago our own.
