bringing in 2009

new year's eve 2008 to 2009. top top. i could not have asked for a better new year's eve celebration. bringing in 2009 has now tied with bringing in 2004 when thirty of my closest friends from o-town had the night that is still talked about as much as our senior cruise.

however, this year was different in a good, wait i mean in an out of this world, totally random and fun, could not ask for a better night new year's eve. it started with me getting a half-way free ride to mr.right's hotel. (yes, i talked my way into getting half of my taxi for free thanks to a broken meter) while primping for the night, mr.right and i both cheers to a great night with a superb bottle of red wine. after a good hour and a half and a sigh of relief from mr.right that i was done, we met up with our friends who were accompanying us at dinner.

graham elliott was the spot for our trendy, first class restaurant. unbelievably delishy was the food we enjoyed course by course. perfect picture was what i took with the chef, graham elliott himself and our waiter, jim, whom i called jaaaaaaames. our tummies were full and our spirits were high. we headed to the next item on our to-do list, drinks at the hyatt regency big bar.

on our entrance into the hotel, guess who we ran into...mr.&mrs.!! i was overjoyed and had to snap a quick pict with mrs. oh, how i just love that sweet friend of mine!

what started out as just drinks led to mr.right and i purchasing tickets to the hyatt's new year's eve celebration. yeah, they were indeed pricey and were the talk of new year's day between mr.right and i, but man were they worth it. with 4,000 of our closet friends, 100 open bars and a live band, mr.right and i had the time of our lives! even though it was just us, we made the absolute best of bringing in 2009. we danced and fist pumped to the numerous 80's songs performed by an amazing live band.

funny story...
recall back to mr.right and i's end of the night at my corporate holiday party. remember how one of the lead vocalists from the and asked if we were married. well, guess what, a lady who i asked to take a picture of us on the dance floor told us, "you two are too cute. how long have you been together." mr.right had to remind me the next day that it really happened because i thought it was a dream. hopefully, ya'll (especially you sherbear) get a kick out of that coincidental story.

other than our reservations at graham elliott, the rest of our night was totally random and expectationally fun. again, i could not have asked for a better night with mr.right!
