last night on the weather forecast part of the evening windy city news, my meteorologist announced that tomorrow (actually today) is THE hump day of winter. he meant that since it is a wednesday and since this week is the smack dab middle of winter, that today is THE humpday.
i have figured if i can survive this week being the dead of winter and the codlest week of the year that everything from here on out is downhill...skiing that is...

- hey y'all! it's me, "the girl" from girl and the windy city. as y'all know, my partner-in-crime, my guy, and i were engaged last summer and now are gearing up for the big day. we want to reflect our windy city life through this sister blog! so as it goes, some might say, "southern meets the city." we would like to say, "bring it on!" this change did us good. not just changes in scenary, but changes in attitude and changes in latitude. we took the leap, moved to chicago and fell in love. that is what we have done. stuffed our cars, drove north and making chicago our own.
