yahoo! today is my second "work from home day" while at my mccompany. this type of day only happens when the weather causes outrageous driving conditions resulting in 3 to 5 hours commutes. been there, done that, never again.
i woke up at my normal time of 5:00 a.m. and tuned into my windy city morning news. got the ok from my traffic controller that driving conditions were quickly slowing down and the ongoing snowfall would cause long commutes this afternoon. done and done. i texted mcmomma and informed her that i was working from home today.
i have made my little office atop my bed. documents spread out, laptop up and running and bluetooth in ear. i have become quite the multi-tasker.
the main perk of working from home is being able to wake up and start work in my pajamas! love it!

- hey y'all! it's me, "the girl" from girl and the windy city. as y'all know, my partner-in-crime, my guy, and i were engaged last summer and now are gearing up for the big day. we want to reflect our windy city life through this sister blog! so as it goes, some might say, "southern meets the city." we would like to say, "bring it on!" this change did us good. not just changes in scenary, but changes in attitude and changes in latitude. we took the leap, moved to chicago and fell in love. that is what we have done. stuffed our cars, drove north and making chicago our own.
