for mr.'s birthday, a group of us piled up in brando's tahoe and headed 20 minutes south to indiana for ultimate gaming (as they like to call it in the midwest) at horseshoe casino. i allowed myself to gamble only $100 and was able to enjoy many rounds of roulette and hands of three card poker.
even though i came out a little less than even, i hit the jackpot on my total rewards card. i accumulated enough points to get me and mr. right two free village corner buffets! a total of $70 for what i like to call "around the world in five plates!" there was everything from italian, latino flare, americano, sushi and don't forget the all you can eat crab legs! my biggest question, which i asked mrs. and mr.right was where do some of these people get the money to pay for this buffet?! boy there were some strange characters...
the trip to horseshoe casino was a prep for my cousin's wedding in vegas this june. as sherbear would say, "practice makes perfect!"

- hey y'all! it's me, "the girl" from girl and the windy city. as y'all know, my partner-in-crime, my guy, and i were engaged last summer and now are gearing up for the big day. we want to reflect our windy city life through this sister blog! so as it goes, some might say, "southern meets the city." we would like to say, "bring it on!" this change did us good. not just changes in scenary, but changes in attitude and changes in latitude. we took the leap, moved to chicago and fell in love. that is what we have done. stuffed our cars, drove north and making chicago our own.
