every morning, i start my day with chicago fox news. it gets me going and most importantly, i get my weather and traffic update for my commute to mcwork.
before i could open my tired eyes, i heard the news i have been waiting for since monday morning. not if it was going to snow or if there was a ten car pile up on the ike, it was the news of who was going to have their big concert at wrigley field this summer.
well, i got the news alright. it is going to be a duel concert with billy joel and elton john!! i was estatic!! that was until i was walking out of my room to hop in the shower when the date of the concert was announced for july 21. "bummer..oh f..." was all i could say to myself. since i will be at my mcconvention on that exact day, there is no way possible i will be able to make it back for a once in a lifetime concert.
i guess that means i will just have to commit one more summer of my love to the windy city..i am pretty sure i can work that out..

- hey y'all! it's me, "the girl" from girl and the windy city. as y'all know, my partner-in-crime, my guy, and i were engaged last summer and now are gearing up for the big day. we want to reflect our windy city life through this sister blog! so as it goes, some might say, "southern meets the city." we would like to say, "bring it on!" this change did us good. not just changes in scenary, but changes in attitude and changes in latitude. we took the leap, moved to chicago and fell in love. that is what we have done. stuffed our cars, drove north and making chicago our own.
