no, no, i am not being profane. if you observed my title and realized i put it in quotations, then you know it is a book, even though books should be underlined or italicized; however, i do not have that choice on blogger, but that's neither here nor there..
onto my story for today..starting in february, last week actually, i decided to eat fresh after listening to j to the j read out loud her new book-life obsession, skinny bitch in the kitch. i am not taking it to the extreme of not eating meat or drinking milk because i need and love both my protein and calcium, but i am being very cautious of what i prepare for dinner and where i go out to eat, which i have also put a limit on for not only being healthy but my pocketbook, too.
so far, so good. i have prepared dinner for six out of the past nine nights. my meals have been a variety of quick and easy dishes that totally please the palette. i have cooked up stir fry, stuffed chicken, gourmet salads, spinach and chicken satay, grilled veggies and the list goes on.
additionally, i make my weekly stops to pick up fresh fruits and veggies at my one-stop-fruit-and-veggie spot, stanley's, before hitting the gym on monday nights. i also make a quick un into urban fresh, my new favorite boutique grocer, when they have advertised sales. last night, i was able to snag some ground chicken for a healthy meatloaf and a mesquite bbq marinated pork loin for next sunday's dinner, on a very cheap dime.
i can definitely see a change in my body, both mentally and physically, with my new eating habits and time with mr.big stuff at crunch. by summertime, you will just have to call me that skinny bitch in the kitch..
